Solution: A team from Unidev developed a secure web based .NET application that integrated with their existing DB2 manufacturing system to provide dealers with an efficient mechanism to enter and track their orders.

Problem: A Fortune 500 company needed an application to track all of the various revenue sources of the company in a single location in order to maintain a strong audit and reporting capability.

Solution: Unidev created a brand new J2EE, Weblogic, Oracle application using JIBX, Hibernate and Spring to receive data via web services from their various existing billing systems. System performance and code quality were key due to the tens of thousands of daily transactions and billions of dollars managed by this system. Customer has been very pleased with this system and looks to enhance it further.

Problem: The Visual Basic application used by a large charity needed significant upgrades and no longer met their needs.

Problem: A Fortune 500 company was moving their development to newer technologies but needed to tie key staff up in transitioning maintenance for legacy M/F and Cobol applications as much of their current staff was nearing retirement.

Solution: Unidev took over the maintenance of the legacy applications from it's development center. This allowed the customer to utilize it's staff to do new development.

Problem: A Fortune 500 company was moving their billing system to a Unix/PC environment from the mainframe since the older system was quite limited. However this proposed high transaction volume, highly complex LAN system pushed the limits of all of the available platforms.

Solution: A team from Unidev provided technical help and technical project management for this 70 man year project. The system went into production and exceeded all original benefit estimates and is easily the best in it's industry.

Problem: A large transportation company needed a new receivables system that would meet their special business needs as well as interface with legacy applications and be the basis for moving significant business processes to the web.

Solution: Unidev provided technical assistance and technical management, architecture and design. The resulting system used Java applications and J2EE WebLogic clients sharing a common Unix server interface. This very high performance system handles tens of millions of dollars in receivables each day sending out tens of thousands of EDI, print, e-mail and XML bills to customers. The system exceeded all of it's benefit projections and will be the basis for their next development efforts.

Problem: A quickly growing retail firm needed to replace their back end system to support their growth, but they did not want to be forced to replace their incompatible front end systems at the same time.

Solution: Unidev provided technical assistance, design support, and custom development resources allowing the firm to interface the existing front end systems with the new back end system. The result - the firm could reap the benefits of the new, more advanced back end system while deferring the expenditure and training costs that would have been required if they had been forced to replace the front end systems at the same time.

Problem: A major Fortune 500 company wanted the ability to support contracting based on fluctuating transportation costs as well as other factors, but their existing contracting system could not handle this.

The resulting n-tier system allowed salespeople to provide flexible price quotes that could be tailored to the specific customer needs while also minimizing pricing risks for the firm. Further, as part of the redesign both web and paper publishing components were added, allowing customers to dynamically retrieve the most current pricing information via the web, paper (PDF), or XML.
