How to Compress an Image

TinyPNG Start imageWhen a user visits a website, it’s crucial that they can effectively use the site. If a website is slow to load, users will likely leave the site. Compressing images is one way to reduce the load time.

Did you know that it’s important to compress images before uploading them to a website? Since compressed images load faster, compressing images helps with website usability.

To compress an image, you can use a tool like TinyPNG, by simply dragging and dropping or uploading images to TinyPNG. (See image below.)

Then save the new compressed image file from TinyPNG. (See image below.)

Once you have saved the compressed image file, you are ready to upload it to your website.
