Frequently Asked Questions

1 - What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free analytics platform that tracks basic and customized statistics via JavaScript tags placed on the website. It is the most popular analytics solution. Its popularity is no doubt related to its easy integration with other Google products like Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) and Google Search Console (previously Webmaster Tools). At Unidev, we use Google Analytics for all our marketing clients – even if they are also using other analytics platforms.

2 - Are there other website analytics platforms?

There are a variety of competing website analytics platforms to Google Analytics. A few are free platforms, such as Pikwik and Open Web Analytics. There are also extremely robust paid platforms that are excellent for enterprises – such as Adobe SiteCatalyst (and Google Analytics 360 – the enterprise version of Google Analytics) - and paid platforms that make it easier to track successfully in some countries outside the United States, such as Baidu.

3 - Why Unidev reporting and analytics?

Our values are communication, craftsmanship, and transparency. We approach reporting the same way - we communicate with you to understand what is most important to your business, then build out the right tracking and reports just for your needs. And your accounts always belong to you – we do not take ownership of your Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or any other analytics platforms you use.
